Its been awhile ...

Hello all,

I am sorry it has been so long since my last update. My computer died and I had to figure out how to update the blog from Aaron's computer.

These pictures were taken of the cousins playing, when we visited in April.

Here is Thomas with his Great Grandma Teague and Great Grandma Ritchey.

Here is Peter looking like he owns the world.

These I thought were cute. Peter likes to climb onto the window sill. The sill is just big enough for him to walk across.

This was my first attempt at cutting Peter's hair. I think I did this in May.

We visited our friends in Michigan at the end of May. The first Picture is of Peter climbing into a baby swing. He would climb up the side of the swing set and pull the swing toward him and then jump in. Luckily I didn't see the first time he did this, because it would have scared me and I wouldn't let him do it again. By the time I saw him he was an expert, so I didn't have the heart to say he couldn't do it.

The picture of Thomas sleeping was the first time he fell asleep on his own. The second picture is thomas with a cow on his head, put there by Peter.

New York. I did it. I went to New York. Can you see the statue of liberty in the backgound. I actually survived driving in Manhattan. The only thing you have to remember is get out of the taxis way.
We wnt to New York on July 5 with my best friend Julia and Mother-in-law, Pam. It is about a four hour drive.

Peter's new favorite passtime is watercolor painting. I know I am his mother, but I think he does a very good job for three and a half. His pictures have lots of color and movement.
He continues to impress me daily.

Here is Peter trying to be as big as daddy. He wants to grow big so he can ride a water slide.

This picture was taken last night. I thought Thomas wouldn't be able to open it. I was wrong. Also Thomas has been walking pretty well for the last week. I will get a video of him walking next time, but here we are dancing.

God Bless. I love and miss you all.

Hello all,

These were pictures from March 8, 2008.

Here Peter is enjoying playing in our backyard. He was having so much fun picking the leaves up and throwing them in the air. It felt like it was fall all over again.

Peter is also my budding photographer. He took the next four pictures.

Thomas loves riding on my back. I often carrying him around this way. It is ideal when we are shopping. Sometimes you can see me holding Peter on my front and wearing Thomas on my back, especially on Sundays when Aaron sings in the schola.
Good Night and God Bless,
Brenda

Uncle Adam's visit

These pictures were taken on February 28, 2008. Aaron's brother Adam visited for the evening while he was interviewing for a business school in Pennsylvania.

Peter telling his uncle about the finer points of working out.
Here Peter is showing him how it is done.

Peter's Uncle helps Peter do a chin up.

Thomas hanging out with his uncle.

It was really fun to have Adam visit with us. I hope he can come back again soon.

Hi all,

Here is Thomas. This is the first video I am posting so I hope it comes out.

I think Thomas was just so excited to be eating food. Watch the whole thing because it gets better towards the end.

God Bless,

Brenda

Hello All,

I am sorry I haven't updated in awhile. These pictures were taken in February.

Here is Peter trying to feed Thomas.

Hoods on

Hoods off

Here is a reenactment of Thomas pulling himself up for the first time. He had fallen before Aaron could get the camera, so I cheated and stood him there for the picture.

I will post again soon. I have lots of pictures coming up.

God Bless,
Brenda

Peter and Thomas

Hello all,

Right now Peter is terrorizing Thomas. Peter likes to take things away and throw things at him. I am trying desperately to teach Peter not to do that, but it can be frustrating at times. Thomas is sitting up on his own and crawling. His crawling seems to improve a bit every day.

I think this is the beggining stages of wrestling. See how Thomas has Peter's leg pinned.

A couple days later they looked liked they had the idea better.

Thomas's favorite chew toy.

Thomas is now eating solids. This was his first experience with baby food. He loved it and wanted to hold the spoon himself. Peter also thought it was great that Thomas was eating food. He actually helped out a little. I have some good pictures of Peter feeding Thomas, but I will have to post them next time.

We are planning to be in Sacramento from Thursday March 20 to March 23. We look forward to seeing everyone again.

God Bless,

Brenda

Thinking

Hello all,

Today has been a rough day. Thomas has a cold and Peter is being three. He is in the throwing stage of life. Everything needs to fly through the air. I can't keep up with him.

Currently we have been having some unseasonably warm weather. It was 70 on Ash Wednesday.

So to write this short post, Peter is sitting on my lap decorating my computer screen with post-its.

Nobody told me that parenting would be this hard. Some times I feel soooo alone, but then I call my friends and here they are having troubles too. I also am reading this blog http://mnssams.blogspot.com/

and it reminds me that God gives everyone crosses. I don't know how they go from day to day knowing there sweet little son will eventually die.

I know I am just babbling, but sometimes you just have too.

God Bless,
Brenda

Catch Up

Hello all,

I know it has been awhile, but I was locked out of my account.

Here are a couple of pictures of how Peter likes to help out around the house.

Peter loves to play with his brother, Thomas.

For Christmas, we started a new tradition of cutting down our own tree. We went with the intention of doing so, but I fell in love with a fraser fir that was pre cut. While we were there we visited the petting zoo and rode the train. Here is a picture of us on the train and then a picture of Peter with the engineer.

The boys had great fun opening their Christmas gifts.

Then Peter turned three on Jan 4. We had a small family party on that day. Later we would have a bigger party for friends and family.

Here is a picture of Peter with his papa (my dad). Notice the similar grins.

Here is a picture of my men. It was just so cute I had to throw it in.

When my parents were visiting we took our first trip to DC. It is closer than I thought and I didn't know the Smithsonian Museums were free. We will definately be going to DC more often.

On Jan 12, Peter had is big birthday party. He just loves his tricycle.

My parents left on Tuesday Jan 16 and with them they took the nice weather. On Wednesday we had a snow storm. As of today there is still traces of snow left.

We miss everyone. Please post a response and let me know that you are looking at the blog. I will try not to go so long without saying anything.

God Bless,
Brenda
